(B6) CHLADNI PATTERN DEVELOPMENT
- I liquified a grid that I hand drew and created these strange shapes. I then went on to mirror them multiple times to create these intricate, geometric patterns
- I thought the manipulation of the grid will take the control from me for a more random shape like the Chladni plate materials
- By mirroring the design it makes the lines more and more complex like that of the higher frequencies in the experiments. They also make me think of the multiple genres that metal has mixed with the be classed as Alternative Metal
- Aesthetically the design is interesting to look at and I think would be appealing on the merchandise we have planned to design
- The purple and red work well together in these designs too without being too overpowering because there is still a large amount of negative space
- I prefer the more square patterns at the start and the last one just above. They are not too complicated and still show the difference in complexity that I wanted
- This development does meet my aim of looking more digital than my initial ideas
