(B6) LOGOTYPE EXPERIMENTS

These are some type experiments I tried very early on in the project. at the time I thought this would be an effective idea with it being a trend at the moment and it looks like metal. However, it just looks like a bad copy of  the Dazed Beauty logo like a lot of stuff coming out at the moment and I do not want to add to that


I had centred a lot of my research on Alternative Metal band album covers and merchandise and there was an equal amount of San serif and serif type being used. I think it's appropriate to assume that this is down to what genre is being mixed with metal to make alternative metal, that influences that decision. I personally enjoy the serif fonts the most, they have these sharp points to the letters that make me think of metal but, is far away from the typical heavy metal, thrash metal type that similar to the second chrome type I did. The second line on the red type is a font called Big Carson that I have made taller and narrower giving it a horror film aesthetic when by itself. Nevertheless, I think this would look effective besides the chladni patterns I have been doing.

(B5) GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE: KEY TERMINOLOGY

In order to understand the texts related to Gothic architecture, I really need to understand the terminology as I aforementioned when looking at the previous text. I will be listing definitions along the way to better understand.
