(B6) TEXTURE/ MIRROR EXPERIMENTS (SAND)

  • I tried drawing the sand in Procreate because the brushes are better than on Photoshop and I wanted to use the symmetry function to create the geometric patterns
  • The blue-toned purple I used is probably my favourite purple that I have used so far and I will use this colour in future developments
  • The pattern has an amazing likeliness to the original sand experiments however, I would like them to be a little sharper because the texture makes it seems like its blurred rather than sand looking
  • The third image shows an overlap of the two, to show the scale and difference of heaviness in the music. The first two would be if I split the design between back and front but, I like the appearance of the overlap the most

  • This is slightly off course, just another small idea I had. Bradley had done some experiments with the metal texture previously and I wanted to see if I could incorporate that into my designs too, plus the metal chladni plate association.
  • On top of the metal texture I made, I drew a geometric pattern in hopes for it to look like the genres logo? Similar to how to Bring Me The Horizon have used symbols on the Drop Dead clothing brand and the Sempiternal flower of life on the Sempiternal album
