(B5) BUILDING SKETCH AND LOGOTYPE IDEA

  • I used my photographs of St. Saviours church in Headingley to trace over the basic outlines 
  • It was difficult because I had to make up the parts of the building where headstones and trees were in front of it. Plus, it took a very long time for a very simple drawing 
  • I wanted it to look like a sketchy, blueprint design but, I do not feel confident with this at all and it will take so much time to do this for the six Leeds Gothic buildings 

  • I liked this originally as a potential logotype for the map idea or leaflets but, now looking at it, I think I should wait till I have done the building designs and typesetting

Gothic style can vary depending on location, age and the type of building (the purpose as such). (B5) GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE: KEY TERMINOLOGY

In order to understand the texts related to Gothic architecture, I really need to understand the terminology as I aforementioned when looking at the previous text. I will be listing definitions along the way to better understand.
