(B7) COLLABORATION WITH KIRA BLAKE
- Kira approached me with this brief after having a lot of problems with three-dimensional objects and type. She had heard I had been experimenting with this and I thought I could help.
- I explained how I was still very new to the effects involved and that I may be no help, I did still shown her what I know. In the end, I offered to help with this brief as a collaboration so, we can both learn new techniques with less stress on completion
- It was difficult to get into this brief as the photographer had not set any clear objectives apart from a logo and some editing on her photographs
- What we did know for sure was she has a large interest in cyber brutalism which is a new-age trend that focuses on edgy, futuristic design which can be seen in her photography
- Our worry was that we were not skilled enough to get the style she wanted, embedded into our designs but, we began experimenting with three-dimensional objects, Kira mostly as I was in the middle of my large research brief
- I managed to create this chrome spiral which both Kira and I liked, I just was not sure how to apply it to one of her images. I had tried wrapping it around one of the models in the photos but, when I tried to add her reflection in the spiral I couldn't get it to work
- Kira spoke with Rhianna again and she had asked us to also design business cards as well as the logo. The images can be a secondary thing, not mandatory
