ANGUS MACPHERSON ONE - TO - ONE

I asked Angus some general questions about the paths I should take in the near future. My end goal is to become a creative director and I know that I have to work up to that. After to listening to several speakers talk about working in large studios and how working for smaller places gets you learning more roles etc, I just wanted a little more guidance with that. I had asked about how to get motivated on set briefs that arent self - initiated too. 

He said that I should do what feels best and what suits my way of working like, if I am the sort of person to get comfortable and that, maybe avoid a large studio where I will just end up another small cog in a huge machine. As for set briefs, he said that unfortunately, these are the ones that tend to pay but, I should carry on with the self-initiated briefs for personal promotion and practice until they become the money makers.

(B5) GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE VISUAL INFOGRAPHIC

  This online infographic was a huge influence on this project and one of the first designs that I looked at. I love how the design is minimal but also shows the detail and extravagance of Gothic Architecture.  It is interesting to look at and has come away from the typical academic, historical article. Instead, the designer has gone for a sleek professional design that is easy to engage with and understand.  There are a lot of technical components to Gothic Architecture and I think this approach is probably the most effective for me to use within my own project. I am aiming my designs at people who live and commute through Leeds, which is a huge amount of people from all sorts of different demographics. In order to understand the texts related to Gothic architecture, I really need to understand the terminology as I aforementioned when looking at the previous text. I will be listing definitions along the way to better understand.
