  • I wanted to show how people would use the app outside when collecting the songs. 
  • At first, I was going in the completely wrong direction, the design looked awful and I do not know why I tried to design it that way. 
  • The second design actually looked part of the app which is what it was meant to do in the first place. I did not want the design to be something brand new but, something adapted from the current designs. 
  • I did make the grid system bolder as white on black can get a little lost, same with the type, I made sure the weighting and size is legible in whatever weather.

Gothic style can vary depending on location, age and the type of building (the purpose as such). However, to identify these buildings architects use five key architectural features: Large stained glass windows This is why gothic architecture is usually associated with places of worship as this feature is prevalent in Gothic cathedrals.   This online infographic was a huge influence on this project and one of the first designs that I looked at. I love how the design is minimal but also shows the detail and extravagance of Gothic Architecture.  It is interesting to look at and has come away from the typical academic, historical article. Instead, the designer has gone for a sleek professional design that is easy to engage with and understand.  There are a lot of technical components to Gothic Architecture and I think this approach is probably the most effective for me to use within my own project. I am aiming my designs at people who live and commute through Leeds, which is a huge amount of people from all sorts of different demographics. In order to understand the texts related to Gothic architecture, I really need to understand the terminology as I aforementioned when looking at the previous text. I will be listing definitions along the way to better understand.
