(B2) FINAL DEVELOPMENT / OUTCOMES
SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS
- Hussaine went back to his original videos and changed the backgound to black. However, that made the cube just blend into the background rather than look like an actual cube
- I suggested adding some thick white linework, similar to the original tesselation sketches that had thick black linework
- Hussaine worked on that suggestion and also added some of the textual information that was required for the posters and flyers
- The video looked far more professional and all that was left was for me to add my glitch effect
- We had two of these videos as each cube had three of the six videos on it, plus we needed three social media posts
- Hussaine went on to design a third social media post that would be the same cube however, it would display the speakers on it rather than the videos. We decided not to add the glitch effect to that video because we wanted the audience to be able to read the text and see the imagery
POSTERS
- Hussaine also edited Ryan's poster so that we had six fly posters. With each poster he changed the hue so that the image behind the text was different colours each time
- This meant we had the right amount of posters without wasting too much time with the submission time coming up
FLYER
- Olivia started drawing up some ideas for the flyer, at first she had mainly used the example picture as influence for her design
- We said that it would be better if it was a cube instead so it keeps with the continuity of our designs. We also suggested the colour should be changed to black and white
- Bradley also started designing the leaflet and used the type design that Ryan had made for the posters. It also was the cube perspective as my drawing before and Hussaine's video.
- We thought this worked effectively as regards to continuity and professionalism
- We suggested that he could add the colour the same as the poster so it is as engaging and to try and make the type look less squashed on the right face
- This was the final leaflet, unfortunately the type still looked awkwardly warped however, we were out of time
- I personally was still impressed on the work we had managed to do in such a little time
With more time on this project I would have liked to have designed more extras for the event. Deliverables such as tickets, wristbands and bus sides, but I do not think the outcomes would have been as effective if there was less of a time pressure. We ended up working quickly and effectively without 'faffing' about it. It allowed more focus on the design and pushing forward so we could get the designs done on time.
